The students are being given a wonderful opportunity to sing O Canada at a Golden Hawks Hockey Game on Saturday November 21st. I’m hoping we can have a great turnout from Empire PS. (The last two years have been AMAZING!!)
Students from Grade 1 6 are invited to come and sing. I need a commitment from families that they can get the singers to be at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex in Waterloo (on Father David Bauer Drive) at 7:00pm. I will meet students there and we will get set up for our performance.
The game is against the Brock Badgers and will sure to be an exciting game you won’t want to miss! Anyone bringing a student who’s singing the anthem qualifies for discounted tickets. All you need to do is tell the box office you’re with the Anthem Group from Empire Public School.
Adult tickets are only $4, students/seniors are $3 and anyone under 12 is free!
Last year the lineup to buy tickets was so long, that this year we’ve been given a coupon code so you can purchase your ticket online before the game!
You need to go to http://www.laurierathletics.com click the ‘shop’ tab on the right hand side, and then go to event tickets and then you can find hockey and the date and click adult ticket for $8.00 first. You will then enter the code, which will give you the discount and bring it down to $4.00 group rate. You will also have to create a login, but that only takes a minute!

All you have to do is print out the ticket and bring it to the game. This code only works for adult tickets and the Nov 21st game.
