WRDSB has undergone a review of bell times in order to achieve savings in transportation toward a $4.6 M funding shortfall.  On November 25th, 2013, the Board passed the following motion: 

That the Waterloo Region District School Board implement bell time changes, effective September 2014, with the understanding that no school will move by more than +/-20 minutes.

As a result the bell times for Empire Public School for 2014 – 2015 will be changed to a 9:20 am start and 3:40 pm finish each day.
