Welcome back Empire families! If you are a new parent this year, or a seasoned parent to the Empire community, we would love to have you join us on the Empire School Council! 

Please find below some information about the council; what we do and why we need you! Whether you can help out monthly, or can spare a few hours throughout the year, your help will be greatly appreciated! 

What is School Council? 

The Empire School Council is a committee that is in place to act as a channel of communication between parents/guardians and the school. All parents are welcome!  

What we do: 

In recent years (before Covid), the Empire school council, in participation with the school and parents, has been very successful in generating monetary funds that support various programs at our school.  The money is raised through pizza days, and other fundraising opportunities. 

Reasons to join and ways to help!  

* You can help plan and participate in fun events for the entire family!

*An opportunity to know the teachers at school and understand their needs and ideas.  

*Work collaboratively with the Principal and Vice-Principal.   

If you are interested please join us on Wednesday, Sept 21, 2022 for a virtual meeting.  Our monthly meetings will normally be held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 6:30-7:30.  Whether future meetings are held in person or online is still to be determined.
