Three years ago, the Empire School Council launched a goal to install a new, natural playground that could be used by our students and our community year-round.  The aim of a natural playground is to bring children in contact with nature.  It provides a natural space that will expand children’s imaginations, stimulate all five senses, and focus on passive, imaginative and physical play.  Today, the Empire School Council is thrilled to announce that construction of our new, natural playground is set to begin next week!

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone that has donated to this cause.  We received generous donations from Empire families, neighbours, friends and local grants.  It was truly a team effort!

We can’t wait for you to see the finished playground and hear the sounds of children laughing and playing there!
