Thanks to the efforts of the Empire Me-to-We group, the Waterloo Region Food Bank now has the funds to provide over 2600 more meals to families in need in our community.

During the week of Feb. 8-12, the students of the Me-to-We group sold approximately 1600 suckers as part of their Candy-Gram fundraiser and raised $874.  The Food Bank let us know that for every dollar raised they can buy 3 meals.  So our efforts will result in 2622 meals in our community! They also let us know that typically 30-35% of people getting those meals are children.
