This Thursday February 28 is the last day of work for Mrs. Isabel Janke, our Empire Library Clerk for 31 years! Mrs. Janke has celebrated her retirement at a staff breakfast last week, and has received one carefully crafted page from each of Empire’s 25 classes that will be put together in a booklet for her to cherish her Empire memories. We are so grateful for the time, commitment and care that Mrs. Janke has given to the Empire community and wish her all the best in her retirement.
Beginning Friday March 1, Empire will welcome Mrs. Rachel Thompson as our new Library Clerk. Mrs. Thompson has experience in this role at other WRDSB schools, including Chicopee Hills, Courtland Senior and Keatsway, and has participated in extensive training in preparation for this opportunity. We are thrilled to have Mrs. Thompson as a part of the Empire family.
