Dear Empire Families,

We hope you all had a restful and relaxing Thanksgiving Weekend together.  We wanted to share some updates, as we have some exciting things happening here in the coming days and weeks!

THE BEAT BREAKFAST TOUR- October 18, 5:30am-9:30am

We are excited to be selected as one of 8 schools in Waterloo Region to host The 91.5 Beat Breakfast Tour! Carlos and Laura will be broadcasting LIVE from our tarmac and some of our staff and students will also have the opportunity to go on air to share just how awesome our school, staff and students are!  Families are welcome to join us on the tarmac that morning. We are thankful to Mrs. Gilbert for submitting our application, as this also comes with a custom made Buddy Bench crafted by Cedarland Lumber and The Sign Depot, snacks from Fiddleheads, and more! Parents, please note that media recording from the public as well as the radio station could be a possibility with this event.  If your child will be on the air participating, their IS-18 media release form must be signed.

TOASTY TOES CAMPAIGN – until November 1

Thank you to Mrs. Hope and Mrs. Crawford’s classes who are collecting new socks for the regional Toasty Toes campaign.  These warm socks will go to people in need in our community. Last year we collected over 1000 pairs of socks! Your donations are welcome.
